Premier Doug Ford says it’s 100% certain that Canada should be preparing for tariffs, and Canada needs to stand strong. In addition to counter tariffs, he’s threatening to cut off energy exports to the U.S. in response.

Elon Musk makes his thoughts clear after Justin Trudeau ties Kamala Harris’ defeat to attack on women’s rights and progress. The premiers also let Trudeau know his comments were “not helpful.”

As expected, the Bank of Canada cut its target for the overnight rate to 3.25%. That’s a half-a-percentage point drop. The bank says it’s watching a number of factors that could impact inflation including a drop in immigration, the GST holiday, rebate cheques, and changes to mortgage rules.

Hamilton Police discover a series of man-made tunnels in Gage Park encampment

Police say the discovery of a series of tunnels was made during a proactive encampment check on Tuesday. The tunnels were used to allow for extension cords and other electrical wiring to connect multiple tents in the park. One man has been arrested and charged.
