Delta Airlines sets record straight
Delta Air Lines has revealed information about the crew on board a flight from Minneapolis that crashed and flipped upside down at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Monday.

Passengers are all out of hospital
Delta Airlines says everyone involved in this week’s Pearson plane crash is now out of hospital. 21 people were hospitalized after the incident. The wreckage is now off the runway, and the airport is still working to resume normal operations.

City workers closer to a strike
The folks who handle things like court services, 311, cleaning and shelters for the city of Toronto are one step closer to going on strike. The union representing 30,000 workers says talks with the city have stalled and they’re ready to strike on March 8th.
“Tone it down”: U.S. to Zelensky
The U.S. National Security Advisor says Ukraine needs to “tone it down” and sign a deal pushed by President Trump to give the U.S. access to Ukrainian minerals in return for aid or as compensation for support already provided. President Zelensky has said “I can’t sell our state”. Zelensky and the U.S. Special Envoy to Ukraine met yesterday and cancelled a joint news conference afterwards.

Stellantis pauses Brampton production
Stellantis is halting production of its electric Jeep Compass at its Brampton plant. The head of the union representing the 3,000 workers at the plant says, “the company has reassured the union that vehicle production plans are still in place for Brampton, although the timing of this announcement raises very serious concerns for Unifor members both in the plant doing the retooling work and those on layoff."

Plastic containers and your heart
Prevention Magazine is reporting on new research that links eating out of plastic takeout containers to heart disease. The study in the journal Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety found that people who frequently ate out of the containers were 13% more likely to develop heart failure. It adds to the body of research raising concern about micro-plastics.
