Environment Canada issues Winter Weather Travel Advisory

Just in time for the morning commute, a winter weather travel advisory is in effect for the GTA with up to 5cm possible. Environment Canada says motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic.

S-NO Problem! Toronto Pearson Airport ready for snowy holiday travel

138,000 passengers are expected to travel through Toronto Pearson Airport today - much of it holiday travel. Snow can slow down operations, so if you’re flying out today you are advised to double-check your flight time, arrive early and enjoy the holiday vibe.

Cabinet shuffle expectations

Various reports say Justin Trudeau is expected to shuffle his cabinet today. The PM needs to replace a number of people who have quit or said they’re not running again. The CBC reports it could involve at least ten people.

New Science Centre opening date

The Canadian Press reports that the new Ontario Science Centre is expected to open in 2029.  The government originally said it would be open as early as 2028.

Toronto Police officer dies on the job

Detective John Park died after a medical episode yesterday morning. He was executing a search warrant and had been an officer for 14-years.

Amazon Strike - Canadian Impact?

Amazon workers at seven U.S. facilities enter day two of their strike today. The workers are a small portion of the 1.5 million employees at Amazon’s warehouses. You might be wondering about any impact on your deliveries. The company says there is no impact in Canada.
