Millions without power after Hurricane Milton slams Florida as a CAT 3 storm.  Total damage still unknown.

What?  Gardiner construction ahead of schedule?

Rehab work on the Gardiner Expressway is actually four months ahead of schedule after around-the-clock construction began in July.  Mayor Chow donned a hardhat to make the announcement last evening as she surveyed the work underway.

Honda is recalling 239,000 vehicles in Canada because of a defective part in the steering system that could cause a crash.  The recall includes certain 2022-2025 Honda and Acura models.  In the U.S. 1.7-million cars are affected.

Coldplay coming to T.O.

Coldplay will take their world tour to the newly-announced Rogers Stadium in Downsview next summer. The 50,000 seat stadium that’s set to open in June has only one other act booked so far, OASIS, and they play in August.  Presale registration for Coldplay’s Toronto shows is open until 10 a.m. today with the general on-sale taking place Friday at Noon.

Soft drink Mountain Dew has a new logo that actually features a mountain.  The company says they’re hoping to better connect the younger generation with the brand’s history with the outdoors and adventure and ‘embrace the DO THE DEW spirit.’

It seems people live longer in certain Toronto neighbourhoods including Bridle Path, Bayview Village, and Willowdale.  A report by The Local and researchers at St. Michael’s Hospital broke down life expectancy based on neighbourhood.  It found wealth was a big driver of health, and residents of less affluent neighbourhoods had shorter life spans.  You can see how your ‘hood ranks here.

TikTok addictive?  Ya don’t say.  I’ll look in a second - just sending you a cat video...

A bunch of American states have filed a lawsuit against TikTok saying it’s addictive for kids and harms their mental health.  The heart of the suit focuses on how the algorithm tailors content to a user’s interests.  TikTok says it strongly disagrees with the claims which it believes are inaccurate and misleading.
