Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek says he’s been diagnosed with colorectal cancer. The 47-year-old is receiving treatment and says there’s reason for optimism and he’s feeling good.

A study finds 48% of Canadians have had to dip into their savings accounts to cover day-to-day expenses, and half say they’re in worse financial state than they were at the beginning of the year. The cash crunch is causing many to put off bigger financial goals and tasks.
