The number of homes sold in Canada jumped 26% last month, and the average price surged 7.4% compared to a year ago. It’s the first-time prices have seen a big increase in a year and a half. An increase in inventory paired with lower interest rates is seen as driving sales.

Firefighters in California were dispatched to "a unique motor vehicle accident" on Friday night: A car drove through a wall and plunged into the pool of a fitness center.
Authorities said the driver suffered only minor injuries. Nobody was in the pool at the time of the crash.
