Payment services provider Moneris says spending in Toronto was up 57% week over week in the first three days of Taylor Swift’s tour. International spending doubled, with out of towners especially spending on movies and theatre while in town.

Swiftie concert-goers can Park at Toronto Pearson Airport and take the UP Express downtown to the concert. 

Brampton ban

The city of Brampton has banned protests near places of worship. It comes after a protest outside a temple earlier this month became violent.

The federal government has confirmed there’s going to be a two-month GST break on groceries, kids clothes, Christmas trees, and restaurant meals from December 15th to February 15th. In the new year, the government is also sending a $250 rebate cheque to anyone who made less than $150,000 this year.
