Seems inflation and high costs have bit the fat guy you-know-where and threaten to halt Toronto’s Santa Claus parade. It’s been around for 120 years! You know it’s bad when they’ve launched a Go Fund Me. As of this morning it’s already at $47,750 of its $250K goal.

Phase 2 of Gardiner rehab work is getting underway four months early, and the entire project is expected to be done a year early. Two eastbound lanes on the Gardiner are reopened, but demolition and reconstruction of the two central lanes begins as early as today.

Brampton strike

It’s day 2 of the Brampton city workers’ strike and transit trouble continues. Mayor Patrick Brown says it is wrong for CUPE to block transit operators from going to work.
