U.S. to follow Canada and ditch the penny?

Several reports say President Trump’s new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) led by Elon Musk is looking at getting rid of the American penny. The cost of zinc has doubled in the last decade, and the cost of making each penny is now three-cents. Canada stopped making the coins in 2012.

Runners:  Take a break

BBC Science Focus talks to a doctor who says runners really need to take a break from time to time. While there’s a long list of health benefits from running, the expert highlights how doing it every day could lead to overuse injuries like shin splints, stress fractures, and tendonitis. Listening to your body and adding strength training are key to a balanced program.
