Home sales down
GTA home sales slumped 27% last month compared to last year. Just over 4,000 homes were sold while inventory soared 76% to almost 19,536 units. The Toronto Regional Real Estate Board says buyers are taking a “wait-and-see” approach hoping for lower interest rates while dealing with economic uncertainty.
Help me buy Canadian

HEALTHY START
Turn up the tunes!
Researchers have found that listening to certain types of upbeat music boosts brain power. The Times reports that scientists believe something called the “arousal-mood theory” causes music with a groove to increase mental agility allowing cognitively demanding work to be done faster.
A “baby in a bag”?
The Times reports that scientists are pushing to get the go-ahead for human trials on whether a developing fetus could grow in an artificial womb – a so-called “baby in a bag”. They’re running into public opinion opposition in the UK though, where only 21% of people are supportive of the concept, while 52% opposed the idea.

“Absolutely incomprehensible”
Meghan Markle (sorry, Sussex) is out with a new Netflix series called “With Love, Meghan”, and it’s already being panned by the critics. It’s a lifestyle series where she does things like bake, make candles, and lavender towels. The New York Post says she’s “boring, vapid, and entitled”. The show was released this week after being delayed due to the L.A. wildfires.
