TTC extends deadline to use tickets and tokens

Forget that Dec 31st deadline, if you still have some TTC tickets, tokens or passes, you will now be able to use them well into the new year.

In a post on X Eric Trump shared a doctored photo of his father purchasing Canada, Greenland and the Panama Canal on Amazon. Canada as the ‘51st state’ seems to be one of Trump’s favourite topics since being elected in November.

Holding off for the tax holiday

The Canadian Press reports that retailers like toy stores saw big sales declines ahead of the sales tax holiday kicking in, and now they’re seeing a sales surge. A spokesperson for the Retail Council of Canada says the holiday is “shifting buying patterns”, but retailers are optimistic there will be an overall sales increase.
Honda + Nissan marriage
Honda and Nissan are reportedly talking about a possible merger. The growth of big Chinese EV competitors and slower sales are driving the discussion.

A woman from Dundee, Scotland is the first person in Europe to be treated with a new personalised vaccine to fight her gastro-oesophageal cancer. The vaccine is created by analysing the patient’s tumour to figure out how an immune system could target it.
